What Women Should Look For Choosing Pre Workout

It is time to take your workout's to the next level. You have heard of this mythical product called pre workout but you think it is just for men. You are wrong but also kinda right. In this industry, pre workout can be marketed and made for those guys but there are plenty made for women. You just need to know what to look for when choosing your pre workout.

Caffeine Source :

There are usually 2 sources of caffeine found in pre workouts. There is the synthetic form of caffeine in Caffeine Anhydrous and then there is Caffeine from natural sources. Both are totally fine but anhydrous hits a lot faster than natural due to the digestion process.

I would recommend 200mg and under for anhydrous and then 250mg and under for natural caffeine.

Total Amount of Caffeine:

As mentioned above, the total amount of caffeine really affects people differently. Some people can handle 500mg of caffeine and not even flinch while some can barely handle 60mg of caffeine, or a cup of coffee.

To put it into perspective, a venti coffee from Starbucks contains around 400-500mg of caffeine.

Beta Alanine:

This is the ingredient that causes tingles in the pre workout. Some people even say it makes them feel “itchy.” Beta Alanine is buffering the lactic acid in your blood so you can have more endurance. Once you start working out, the tingles go away. So if you are not a fan of the tingles, we recommend Beta-Alanine free pre workouts.

Other Stimulants:

A lot of times, these pre workout formulas contain other stimulants than just caffeine. Be on the lookout for ingredients like: Yohimbe, Ginseng, Theobromine, Guarana, and Green Tea. These are all natural forms of stimulants but some may not be aware that they will increase your heart rate.

Testosterone Boosters:

There are a few pre workouts on the market that are just for men. This is because they contain testosterone boosting ingredients. You should stay away from GAT Nitraflex, Betancourt B-Nox, and some BuckedUP formulas.

When checking these factors before buying a pre workout, you will make sure you can handle the formula so that you get the best experience possible.
